Rigid Heddle Loom Weaving
with KAREN DEARING
If you have always wanted to learn how to weave or would like to weave again, this is your opportunity. We will be using rigid heddle looms to weave several projects. These looms are table looms that are easy to use. Each project will be employing different patterns and materials. No experience is necessary for this class. $55 supply fee payable to instructor at the first class for loom rental ($25) and all supplies ($30). Appropriate for ages 16 and up. 20 hours

Introduction to Batik: Creating Art with Wax and Washes (NEW!)

In this class, you’ll learn to craft a unique painting on masa paper, experimenting with layers of wax and washes that bring depth and dimension to your work. Each piece becomes a one-of-a-kind creation—full of surprises and texture! A materials list will be provided before class, and a $25 materials fee for masa paper is payable to the instructor at the first session. Get ready to dive into a truly magical art form! 8 hrs
Fiber Arts Lab: Bring Your Projects!

It’s time to get assistance with crochet, knit, tablet weaving, bobbin lace, embroidery or any other needle art project. Bring a project you just can’t seem to finish — or get started on those favorite gifts. For those who have always wanted to learn how to crochet, the time is now, with hands-on-instruction. Beginners will learn basic stitches and finish a scarf. Bring size 4 light color crochet yarn (not variegated or multi-colored) size G, H, or I crochet hook (with a wooden or rubber handle), small scissors and knitting needle size 8. Appropriate for ages 15 and up (10 and up welcome with an accompanying adult). 12 hrs
