Canning for All Seasons: Summer and Fall (NEW!)

Discover the art of canning to enjoy seasonal flavors all year round! This hands-on class will guide you through canning techniques perfect for summer and fall produce, helping you preserve fruits, veggies, and more at their peak freshness. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to expand your canning skills,you’ll learn how to create delicious, shelf-stable goods to enjoy anytime. Get ready to fill your pantry with homemade, flavorful foods and savor the seasons long after they’ve passed! Students will need to bring two wide-mouthed pint jars with sealing lids to class. A $15 materials fee payable to instructor at class.

Science surprises many people both in the reaction that can be seen AND the explanation behind it. It seems like magic, but it is really just science! This class continues to explore the wonder and science of our world through new topics, experiments, demonstration, and activities (different from previous classes). Topics for this class include magic/puzzles, geology/fossils, environmental science, and wildlife. Satisfy science-hungry students with science topics and experiments every class and take away ideas and guidance for science fair projects.

You’ll work outside at local scenic spots, guided by an experienced instructor who will help you see and interpret the landscape in a new way. You’ll also learn the basics of building your own painter’s box for easy setup in the field. Come prepared to be outside—dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, and bring water. Great for beginners or studio painters looking to step outside and loosen up their style. Use your favorite medium—watercolor, acrylic, or oil—and bring a spirit of adventure!
