In this class for the older students, we continue to explore the wonder of science through experiments, games and demonstrations—all within the domain of physics. Specific topics include atomic structure, states of matter, density, motion, energy, and applied physics. Satisfy science-hungry students and take away exciting and original ideas for the science fair too. Dig deeper into the mysteries of physics and be sure to bring a journal to keep track of our experiments, new vocabulary, and data. As with previous classes, this class is offered in the morning and again in the afternoon, and students will be able to take home a number of projects and demonstrations. SharQui (pronounced Shar-Kee’) is not a traditional belly dance class, but a fitness class with authentic belly dance moves that are simplified then gradually layered together until you’re dancing a belly dance routine. Class starts with a gentle warm up, moving into low-impact belly dance cardio, and ends with a relaxing stretch. This is for everyone who wants fitness and fun in their workout. In just a few hours, you can learn enough secrets of the trade to give you years of musical enjoyment. Learn to play piano the way professionals do-using chords. The chord method is LOTS of fun and dramatically easier to learn than reading notes. Fee includes the online book, online recorded follow up lessons, a recording of the class and also an optional live periodic question and answer session. Class is held online using zoom and is partly hands on instruction and partly lecture demonstration. Ages 13+
