SharQui—the Bellydance Workout®
with ALIA DIRE

SharQui (pronounced Shar-Kee’) is not a traditional belly dance class, but a fitness class with authentic belly dance moves that are simplified then gradually layered together until you’re dancing a belly dance routine. Class starts with a gentle warm up, moving into low-impact belly dance cardio, and ends with a relaxing stretch. This is for everyone who wants fitness and fun in their workout. No dance experience is needed and you can take it at your own pace. Strengthen your core, build stamina, have fun, and feel fabulous.

Beginning Painting: Explore Your Favorite Medium

• Art History & Principles: Gain insights into the historyof art and the five core principles of art to enrich yourpainting practice.

Intermediate Painting: Enhance Your Artistic Skills

Reignite your passion for painting! Intermediate Painting is designed for those looking to further develop their artistic abilities. Whether your interest lies in folk art, oil, or watercolor, this course provides a supportive environment to explore and enhance your creativity.
Participants will explore:
• Diverse Art Styles: Discover a variety of styles, including folk art, oil and watercolor landscapes, still life, and portraits, and select your preferred focus.
• Supply Identification: Identify and gather the necessary supplies for your chosen projects during the first class.
• Advanced Color Theory: Refine your understanding and application of the color wheel to elevate your artwork.
• Artistic Principles: Review and apply the five core principles of art to improve your technique and composition.
• Skill Enhancement: Use various mediums to advance your painting skills, tailored for students with experience in their chosen medium.

Canning for All Seasons: Summer and Fall (NEW!)

Discover the art of canning to enjoy seasonal flavors all year round! This hands-on class will guide you through canning techniques perfect for summer and fall produce, helping you preserve fruits, veggies, and more at their peak freshness. Whether you’re a beginner or looking to expand your canning skills,you’ll learn how to create delicious, shelf-stable goods to enjoy anytime. Get ready to fill your pantry with homemade, flavorful foods and savor the seasons long after they’ve passed! Students will need to bring two wide-mouthed quart jars with sealing lids to class. A $15 materials fee payable to instructor at class.
Surprising Science (ages 6-10)

Science surprises many people both in the reaction that can be seen AND the explanation behind it. It seems like magic, but it is really just science! This class continues to explore the wonder and science of our world through new topics, experiments, demonstration, and activities (different from previous classes). Topics for this class include magic/puzzles, geology/fossils, environmental science, and wildlife. Satisfy science-hungry students with science topics and experiments every class and take away ideas and guidance for science fair projects.

Crochet Rose Pillow (NEW!)

Brighten up your home with a beautiful handmade rose pillow! In this intermediate crochet class, you’ll create a stunning floral cushion using the Rose Pillow pattern from One and Two Company. With layered petals and bold color choices, this eye-catching design makes a perfect accent piece or heartfelt gift. Students should be comfortable with basic crochet techniques and increases.
